Christians Demand Gas Facility like that Available in Other Muslim Homes -- Still Waiting.

Inequality and segregation are facts of life for religious minorities in Pakistan.

For those of us in the Western world looking into developmental projects for the Christian minority in Pakistan here's a start --

Pakistani Christian Post reports:

Mandi Bahauddin: March 25, 2012. (Sher Gondal) Christian community comprising about thirty families residing in a locality in Gurha Mohalla have demanded of government to provide them gas facility. Mr. Michel, a local leader of the Christians said gas facility in their surrounding localities is available but despite their repeated requests, concerned authorities did not pay any heed to their problems. He said recently their delegation met to ex-MPA Wahida Hameed who had promised to contact Sui Gas Company for supply of gas.

  1. Once again, may I remind you that when I have not written an article myself I clearly reference it in my post. In this case, once again I DID NOT WRITE IT. So if you have an issue with the content of the article please refer back to the original author.

However, I DO endorse this article. Specifically because, as I've mentioned many times - I blog on behalf of the religious minorities of Pakistan, specifically Christians. Whether or not you feel it's appropriate is entirely not of consequence to me.

I think it's REALLY important for my Christian brothers and sisters around the world to support each other, and being from Pakistan - it's within this community where my heart is.

I think everyone suffers in Pakistan in one way or another, but if I can help my Christian community in any way to alleviate their suffering I will be sure to do so!! Feel free to write your own article in support of any of the Muslim villages/cities that require natural gas - that would be your prerogative :)

I just choose to support my own first.

  2. If you are really concerned about your Christian community than do something in field of education rather than exposing meaningless issues.

  3. Oh well now you're just being rude :)

I'm about to become a Doctor, currently in my third year of med school and have just started an NGO with some VERY reliable people. Oone of our primary goals is to foster a safe and appropriate environment in which low-income Christians in Pakistan can be educated... and you friend - are an insufferably ignorant person.

Why don't you do something positive for humanity rather than being a hater.

  4. Nowadays every other person is either joining or making their own NGOs. These NGOs do nothing except that they present these types of stories to the western countries in order to get donations which they can use for themselves.

    2. No fighting!

Let me write to you from the First book of Timothy chapter 6 verse 17 - 21.

Although this letter was written to Timothy, it is SOUND advice for us all.
Keep it in mind when you are speaking to non-believers like the gentleman above, because arguments for argument sake are far beneath us!! Especially when God has already won the battles for us all!

17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to DO GOOD, to be RICH IN GOOD DEEDS, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. TURN AWAY FROM GODLESS CHATTER and the OPPOSING IDEAS OF WHAT IS FALSELY CALLED KNOWLEDGE, 21 which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith.

    3. BTW friend if you have witnessed people rejecting their faith and acting apart from what God would have them do then I am sorry.

But we should never concern ourselves with people who do the wrong things. Instead it's important for ME to do what is right. Not because you told me to, not because of anything but the fact that I have faith in the truth of Jesus Christ.

If you don't want to believe that, it's absolutely fine with me.. it says in the bible that we will recognize each other by our "fruits".. and when I see people who label themselves as Christians doing the wrong thing is bothers me as much as anyone else. But there are many who LOVE GOD and LOVE OTHERS and act accordingly. I choose to be one of them.
